About Us

Welcome to the online Irish Girl Guides shop.

There are four distribution centres in Ireland, one in Cork, Limerick, Galway and Dublin.  The Dublin Distribution Centre is also behind the Irish Girl Guides Web shop.  We pride ourselves in providing a professional and friendly service.

The purpose of the Irish Girl Guides Distribution Centres is to:

  • provide resources, badges and uniform for Guiding in Ireland
  • supply additional products to help leaders on their Journey through Guiding
  • Source special edition badges and novelties for events
  • ensure easy access to products
  • provide a source of information to Leaders, parents and families
  • Promote Irish Girl Guides by stocking some fun novelties/prizes and gifts with our logo

We source our products locally as much as possible and we make every effort to ensure our products are ethically sourced.

 

Deliveries, Collection and Returns (Only applicable to the Dublin Distribution Centre):

Cost of delivery:   Is determined by the weight of your parcel plus a flat charge of 80 cent for packaging.

Dispatch:  Once your order is placed we do our best to ensure we dispatch it within three working days.  Please note that, during times of high volumes of orders, delivery may take longer. Small orders are sent by An Post mail, larger orders are sent via An Post couriers.

It may be better to offer a work address for delivery of parcels that will not fit through your letter box.

Click and Collect: A click and collect from the Dublin Distribution Centre is available.  You will get an email to confirm that your order is completed and ready for collection.  Orders in before midday will be ready that day, otherwise it will be the next day.

There is also a click and collect for collecting orders at conferences.   The conference region and location will be included in the shipping options for a period of time before the conference.  The deadline for click and collect at a conference is the Wednesday before the conference weekend.

Out of stock items:  If any items are out of stock at the time of processing your order, we will contact you.

Order discrepancies: any order discrepancies must be notified to us within 7 days of delivery by email or phone call.  (Voicemail does not count as effective notification.)

Returns:   We understand there may be situations where it is necessary to return items delivered to you.  We offer a full refund/exchange policy excluding postage and packing costs.

If you are not fully satisfied with your purchase, or if your garment proves to be the wrong size, you can return it to us for exchange or refund within 14 days of receiving it, provided you have told us with a reasonable time of receipt of the goods.

You are responsible for the cost of  postage on any goods returned for exchange or refund unless they are faulty.

Note: we keep your name, address, email address and phone number on record for three months.  (To ensure we can follow up if there is an issue with dispatch.)
