Octagon is IGG’s International Guide Camp which will be held in Clongowes Woods, Clane, Co. Kildare from 31 July to 7 August 2022. Originally the camp was planned for 2021, but due to the Covid-19 pandemic, it is being rearranged for 2022.

The camp will begin on the Sunday of the August Bank Holiday until the following Sunday and will see 2000 members of IGG and our international friends camping in the beautiful 500 acres of Clongowes College’s wooded grounds. It will incorporate a wide variety of fun activities across eight skills zone.

We hope to have Brownies camp at the event for a night and Ladybirds can visit too!

The theme of the camp is based on developing resilience skills in girls and young women for today’s world. There will be eight Challenge Zones that will offer a wide variety of activities for the girls to complete along with special evening events with international themes. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be incorporated into the programme and there will be some World Record attempts!
