16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence
This year’s 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence will start on 25 November 2016, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. It is an important time for individuals and organisations to call for action to end violence against women and girls.
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) is sharing inspiring stories from young women already taking part in the campaign. Get involved by following #16ways and #16days on social media.
For any units that have not already done WAGGGS’s Voices Against Violence badge, this is the perfect time to start! You can find a great range of resources on the WAGGGS website here.
The 16 Days of Activism culminates on 10 December 2016 - International Human Rights Day.
Let’s work together to create a world that is safe for girls and women - one in which we can flourish and reach our fullest potential!
