Important Update - E-vetting is being introduced to IGG from 1 September 2016

E-vetting is being introduced to the Irish Girl Guides from 1 September onwards. Therefore as of 1 September 2016 the paper “Garda Vetting Application form” will no longer be accepted and vetting will only be carried out online through the e-vetting system.

A new “Vetting invitation form” has been introduced by the National Vetting Bureau which will be provided in all future Screening Packs i.e. Leader Pack, Unit Helper Pack, Purple Senior Branch Pack sent from National Office.

The “Vetting invitation form” must be completed by the applicant and returned to the Safeguarding Membership Officer, National Office along with the applicant’s completed “ID Validation form” and other screening forms as required.

Once the completed forms are received, the applicant will be issued an email with a link attached inviting them to complete the online “Vetting Application Form” through the National Vetting Bureau website.

Please note if you have any Screening Packs in stock the “Garda Vetting Application form” will need to be removed and replaced with the required “Vetting Invitation form”.

To request replacement forms for packs you already have in stock or if you have any questions in relation to this matter please contact safeguarding@irishgirlguides.ie
