 Chairman of the Public Relations Committee

• Be responsible for the internal public relations of I.G.G.
• Chair Public Relations Committee meetings
• Attend Executive Committee meetings
• Liaise closely with the Communications Officer in National Office
• Cooperate and coordinate with National Standing and ad hoc committees as needed

Responsibilities
• Encourage local PR at all levels within the organisation
• Organise trainings which enable the members of the P.R. Committee to carry out their role effectively
• Encourage and train Leaders to speak out positively about Guiding
• Consult with Leaders and Regional Development Officers re publicity material required to promote IGG
• Prepare and supervise the production of publicity material (with the support of National Office staff)
• Ensure that internal communication courses, workshops and media trainings take place

Expenses regarding travel and administration costs in conjunction with the post will be paid out of national funds.
 

EDI Committee Needs you!

This new and exciting committee is being set up as an amalgamation of the Promoting Diveristy Awareness Committee and the Outreach Committee, it will help lead the way on all issues in IGG relating to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and you can be part of these changes.

Guide Branch Treasurer

A Treasurer is needed for the National Guide Branch Committee. If you are interested please read the description below and contact Maeve in National Office as soon as possible.

Attend:

-Branch Meetings (approx 4/5 times per year)
-Treasurer’s Meeting (1 per year - usually last Saturday in September)

Responsible for:

-Managing the general accounts of the Branch
-Paying out travel expenses, misc expenses and lunch for Branch Meetings
-Submitting the accounts at the end of the year to National Treasurer
-Managing the accounts for special Branch Events, Activities or Competitions
-Submitting the Grant Application Form yearly, together with the Branch Chairman
-Submitting other forms as necessary such as Grant Request, Estimated Expenditure and Event Financial Summary

Liaise with:

-Chairman of Branch
-Members of your Branch Committee
-Grant Secretary, who sits on NPT Committee
